NAME: Lilia Hristova
INSTITUTION: Trakia University
COUNTRY:  Bulgaria
SHORT RESUMÉ:
I am a senior lecturer in English and French at the Language Department at Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
At the beginning of my university career I taught French (I have an MA degree in French language and literature from Sofia University) to students of animal husbandry.
Some years later I switched to English because of the changes in Bulgarian education system. (I also have an MA degree in English). As a consequence I have been teaching English to students of veterinary medicine so far.  I am interested in medical English and in the problems of ESP as a whole.
I attended a basic course of lectures on terminology in French, read by prof. Daniel Gouadec at the University of Rennes 2 in the framework of TEMPUS Programme.
In the framework of the Erasmus program for teacher mobility I visited the University Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid two years ago and I taught lessons to students of veterinary medicine.
Last year I visited the University of Applied Sciences in Freising, Germany. The purpose of my visit was to attend some classes in their modern language laboratory and to acquire some experience in the field of implementation of ICT in English language teaching.
I’m very interested in the implementation of ICT in foreign language teaching because all colleagues in our Language department we are looking forward to the installing of a new language laboratory in our university in two years’ time.

SHORT RESUMÉ:
I work as an ICT-coordinator in the municipality of Lerum in the south of Sweden. Prior to this I worked as a headmistress of Adult Education. I started my career as a language teacher and involved much ICT in different learning environments. My present work involves among other things implementing various ICT solutions for schools such as Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). We are also just about to start a one-to-one project in Lerum, which means that every pupil will have access to a personal digital learning device. (mac, pc, Ipad etc) .Here we are facing a great challenge in redefining learning with ICT, something I will be more than happy to talk more about when we meet!
